The Professors for Millennium Development (PMD) is a non-profit educational project initiated by Teachers Without Borders as a part of the Millennium Development Without Borders Campaign to inspire and mobilize support for and from the academic community's role in the pursuit of the realization of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). PMD activities include publication of books and other literatures on the United Nations and the MDGs, as well as the publication of the International Journal on Millennium Development. PMD organizes conferences, and is forming a a network among universities and colleges for the realization of the Millennium Development Goals. Professors for Millennium Development are a special group of Millennium Development Ambassadors who are standing hand in hand and supporting the United Nations’ dream for a better world for all.
